Architect uses blood as building material…..

Architecture graduate Jack Munro saw the potential of “one of the most prolific waste materials in the world” —animal blood—and has set out to prove that it can be used in construction. By mixing the blood with sand and then baking the mixture, he was able to produce insoluble bricks—while they may not be super strong, these bricks are at least waterproof. Believing that such bricks may be used in arid climates like the Middle East, Munro also advocates that the production of blood bricks can be a viable income-generating business. Currently, he is seeking funds to build a prototype single-story house with his innovative bricks.
